Welcome back to Unvisited Lands! Today's post is a poem, but it's only part one. The explanation will be a post in the weeks ahead. Sail on!
" . . in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy" --Psalm 63:7

SHIPS, SAIL ONWARD
Sail onward, toward the East Where the sunrises are best Come, longing, to the Gray Havens Where ships sail to the West Listen to the mythos call Ringing in echoes of the North Follow on down to the South With mysteries unexplored
All around the compass To the ends of all creation This King's majesty and beauty Outshines all explanation
East, West, North, South It spins an endless tune This we know, the more we go, The more there'll be of You
Chime once, and chime again Ticking down, this adventure's pounding start Plant this blue flower, please make it grow Taking root within my heart
I'll run, and I'll keep going The excited beating in my chest This glorious undertaking This journey to the Best
Sail onward! Ever forward! Listen to the music, the drink to end all thirst What joy to keep on going And to find You've pursued me first
The seeking and the safety Entwined in crashing waves They slap and dash, and bring it back Below the sky and up, again
Listen to the sunrise Feel the drums of endless dawn Take the risk to seek His endlessness Heed the call: Adventure on.

Such an amazing poem! I particularly like the attached art as well! I also enjoyed the like where you pointed out that Christ pursued us first.
